Our story
SchengenDoc started in 2024 when our founding team spent three weekends trying to format a single Schengen application correctly. The cover letter was too informal. The itinerary didn't match the consulate's expected structure. The checklist was missing country-specific requirements. After the third revision, we built a template system that got it right — and shared it with friends.
Two years of studying consular requirements later, that template system became an AI pipeline. Today it generates personalized, embassy-aligned application files — cover letter, day-by-day itinerary, and checklist — adapted to your nationality, destination, employment status, and trip purpose.
We're a small team. We've been through the process ourselves. We know what a consular officer expects to see, and we've built the fastest way to give it to them.

Editorial standards and sources
- Short-stay rules are checked against the EU Visa Code (Regulation (EC) No 810/2009) and the European Commission's published guidance.
- Refusal rates come only from the European Commission's annual consulate statistics. We show the year of the data and link to the source, and we describe them as outcomes in the country of application, not ratings of a passport.
- Document requirements and financial thresholds come from official embassy, consulate and visa-centre pages, shown with the date we last checked them. If we can't find a published source, we don't state the requirement.
- Guides show their last update date and are revised when rules change. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we'll check it.
