1. Apply to your main destination
Apply to the consulate of the country where you will spend the most nights — or, with equal nights, your first point of entry. Choosing a consulate because it has earlier Singapore appointments is a jurisdiction error. Destination guides: France, Spain, Germany, Italy. Relocating for more than 90 days? Frequently asked questions
Can I apply for a Schengen visa in Singapore on an Employment Pass or S Pass?
Yes. If you live in Singapore on a valid Employment Pass, S Pass, Dependant's Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass and your passport requires a Schengen visa, you apply in Singapore to the consulate of your main destination. You do not need to return to your home country.
How long must my pass be valid?
Consulates generally expect your Singapore residence permission to remain valid after your return. The required margin varies by consulate, so check your destination consulate's page. If your pass is close to renewal, renew first or include proof of renewal.
Do Singapore citizens or permanent residents need this guide?
Singapore passport holders do not need a Schengen visa for short stays. Permanent residents still need one if their own passport requires it — use your re-entry permit and PR status as residence proof instead of a work pass.
Which visa centre do I use in Singapore?
It depends on the consulate. France and Germany both take Singapore applications through VFS Global. For other countries, follow the link on that consulate's own website.
